Ingie Listening to it right now. 1,5 hrs done and I'm just a big smile.
Nice review, Heather!

Valerie Best I wonder if I might have enjoyed this more on audio, then. I really loved the set-up (wearing the wedding dress to demand payment, the slow tingle of interest from each side), but, ultimately, Ash just took up so much room in the story, there didn't seem to be much left for Emma. So I couldn't find the match, or, really Emma herself, compelling.
Though, I agree, I did appreciate how Dare really committed to the disfigurement, which pushed it beyond the trope.

The audio was really fun! Audio narrator makes or breaks for me!

Desi I tend to avoid audio because I am supremely picky about voices. Also I have concentration that wanders if listening. It already takes a few extra hours then I’ll realize I had a thought and trailed off in the middle of a sentence and have to struggle to skip back to where I was last attentive. Lol. I do love it for the classics though. The rhythm of those were meant to be read aloud.

I'm picky too, but I have my favorites and they usually are really solid!
