Amir Tesla Knowing how we're under psychological manipulations is both illuminating and liberating, don't you think?

I think it's helpful to know the patterns in which our brain works, to be aware of vulnerabilities and flaws of reasoning. I don't like the word manipulation though... I'd say we're constantly experiencing stimuli, and it's our own job to filter them.
What do you mean when you say it's liberating?

Amir Tesla I used manipulation since in most cases these stimuli are specifically tailored by marketers to exploit our cognitive flaws and I say it's liberating to know because you can spot these tricks upfront and avoid getting into trap of whatever the marketer had intended.
