Dina Excellent review, Isis! I saw this book at the UBS today, almost bought it but ended up deciding against it because the copy wasn't in very good condition. After reading your review, I don't regret leaving it at the UBS anymore. :)

Tammy Great review Isis! I don't care for books whether the author messes with the POV, so I'll probably skip this one.

Corrine Kinsale is hit or miss for me. I loved Flowers from the Storm by hated The Shadow and the Star. Looks like I'll steer clear of this one!

new_user Oh no! I already have this one. D'oh! >.< I'll have to try a different Kinsale for my first.

jenjn79 Thanks!

Dina - I bought it randomly at a dollar store ages ago. I was glad to only spend a $1 on it.

Tammy - The POV thing was so frustrating! It threw the whole story off for me.

Corrine - This is the only book I've read of hers, and I haven't yet (a couple years later) felt like reading another one.

new_user - LOL...I haven't read any other books of hers so I can't give you any advice on what to read of hers.

Susan (the other Susan) Allegretto as a boy is such a compelling character in "For My Lady's Heart," I was anticipating his adult story as soon as it was revealed in the first book that he was only posing as a castrato to keep an eye on his evil daddy's enamorata. Couldn't resist your review, spoilers and all, and I guess you saved me from a disappointing read. I think I'd rather see gorgeous Allegretto grow into a Dom than the boy-toy of a Dominatrix. I mean, come ON, must have a ton of pent-up issues after pretending for months that he had no balls. Give the guy a break, Laura Kinsale, and maybe some rope and a flogger.

I'm pre-bummed out.
