Toni One of my favorite authors of all time.

Dorie - Traveling Sister :) His autobiography is called Living to Tell the Tale by Gabriel García Márquez, Living to Tell The Tale, I highly recommend it to his fans, it's wonderful and enlightening :)

Michael Finocchiaro Thanks Dorie - it is already high on my TBR list (after some Vargas Llosa chez d'oeuvres)

HBalikov "One Hundred Years still stands out as a monumental piece of literature, and if you enjoy it, I would suggest trying The War at the End of the World by MVL as well."

Nice suggestion!

Barbara Hansen You should check his last work: 'Memorias de mis putas tristes' aka 'Memories of my melancholy whores'. I really enjoyed it, it does give you a different perspective on Marquez as an author, and as someone mentioned, check his biography as well.
