Fun read!

Linda Abhors the New GR Design I'd recommend it for young teens. I had a friend who's son was in danger of not passing from 4th to 5th grade (so, about 10 yrs old). I let him choose the book we were to work on together. He chose this one, because they had heard part of it on tape in class. Pretty tough for a youngster, because it's all interior monologue-so, pretty dense.

{ U n s o l v e d M y s t e r y } I don't know any 10 year olds. Lol

As long as it's not too childish, I'll read anything. =)

I love the movie Blue Lagoon. Anything where people are trapped and have to make due with whatever they have.

My favorites as a kid included the Boxcar Children-same reason. I just would think twice about reading this with a young kid, for those who are looking

{ U n s o l v e d M y s t e r y } I remember reading Boxcar Children but can't remember details. Good memories.

Kind of like you said, They were orphans and lived in an old train car near the city dump, and made do with whatever they could find. Ate on mismatched dishes, etc. Will have to re-read these. Of course, lol, what does it say about me that I loved books where kids were left on their own/no parents!?

{ U n s o l v e d M y s t e r y } Same with me, I need to read them.

Maybe you want to make sure they will be alright on their own? I think that is the instinct we all have, making sure people are going to be okay, In books and in life. =)

I know I wouldn't want to make due with what I have, which isn't much.....Scared thinking about it.

When I think of it, that may have been about the time a parent became terminally ill, but no one was talking about it yet...so maybe there was something subconscious there, maybe I needed to make sure that I would be okay, lol!

{ U n s o l v e d M y s t e r y } How many did you read?

Can't remember, probably read them when I was 7 or 8. Don't remember there being so many, maybe two or three at the time. I could be wrong--that was, um, just a couple of years ago! :D

{ U n s o l v e d M y s t e r y } Lol, I also remember reading Trixie Beldon. My Mom said she read those. I don't remember any details about those either.....That was many moons ago. =)

Did you read Trixie Beldon?

Ha! Not me, lol......I had two older brothers that were always taking me to scary monster movies and such.....probably why I'm a big Stephen King fan. :-)

I blame my fan condition on my elder siblings, as well! They simply passed me their copies of his novels!

Caitlin Personally I did not enjoy the book that much but you made the review catchy and smart. If I hadn't already read the book, I totally would if after reading this review. Keep up the great work!!!

I doubt the spoiler depends on whether he died or fell unconscious . . . But I suppose that works. Sorry for the correction.
