My most favorite movie with Audrey Hepburn...I have had this book on my tbr list for awhile...I heard it is nothing like the movie...maybe that is why I hesitate to read it right away...I want to read "In Cold Blood" first before this, though...I heard Capote was never the same after writing that book...like how you observed, I heard he was quite sensitive...he had to be in order to get his observations so right...Stephen King once quoted something about when a writer can remember their scars, it becomes great writing (something like that, anyway)...Capote seemed to have had that knack...

Katie Love that quote about the sky. I've never read this but love the film to bits.

Deanna Excellent review!!!

Terry ~ Huntress of Erudition Perry, you should read "The Swans of Fifth Avenue" by Melanie Benjamin. It really gives an in depth look at Truman Capote's life. I think you would enjoy it.

Cecily A lovely fresh, and original slant on a classic.
