Amanda Ha! Love your review! I absolutely concur! I usually pride myself on finishing every book, but I am about 3/4 of the way through this waste and I can't bring myself to finish it for exactly the reasons you stated above! Your review made me laugh way more than the book. I really don't understand how anyone thinks that Georgie can be any sort of heroine, much less a spy. In fact I feel quite deceived given that "spy" is in the title and I haven't come across anything of the sort so far. Maybe it's in the last quarter of the book, but I don't know that I care to find out. Thanks for laugh!

Jeri Great review! In fact, it was better than the book!

Jane The most unique review I've ever read. Too bad you didn't write the book yourself. Then I would have read it. But because of your oh-so-wonderful review, I won't have to suffer through the real thing. Thank you.

Teresa McCue I love this review, and I get it - but I do like this book series. I think maybe Georgie's life is more like the sheltered upbringing meets real world that I experienced myself. The violence is not gore, the sex is implied, and the drugs are seen but not shared in. Reading that, I realize that I probably did prefer pop to true rock 'n roll, even in my wild younger days.

Jane I’d been wondering about whether to start this series. I’ve heard it’s best to start with the second book, that this one is mostly background, which you’ll pick up in the subsequent books anyway.

After your amazingly clever review, I REALLY get the point. I’m starting with the second book. Hopefully my friend has better judgement about who to recommend this time. Or, like a good spy, I’ll have done better research ahead of time. ;D

Samantha This is the perfect analogy for this book. My exact experience reading it as well.

Susan I listened to this book on audible...I think it helped make the book a bit more fun...I listened to it while tackling jobs around the house.

Dana Lynn It’s so funny reading this review because I actually tried reading this book about three years ago and I couldn’t even finish it. When I saw this book on my recommended list I said to myself “I can’t be the only person that didn’t care for this book!!??” And then I stumble across this gem of a review 😂😂 thanks for the laugh!
