Bonnie Williams I agree, and have you read The Green Mile? The book and movie are great also

Shelby *trains flying monkeys* ahhhhh you haven't seen the movie to this!??
That must be corrected. My favorite movie. It's even better than this story.

Unfortunately I haven't yet, but the book is on my to-read-list as well. I'm kind of trying to catch up with Stephen King's books and the adaptions, and apart from the movie 'Carrie' and the book 'Under the Dome' I haven't yet watched/read anything penned by him. Something I'll definitely change :)

Nope, unfortunately I haven't *blush*. I'm sort of a newbie to King's works, but already a fan of it.
Will correct it as soon as possible!

I've only seen The Green Mile, but it's definitely one of my absolute favorite movies. So great. So, so, so great. I'm really glad you love it too!

Thank you, Sabah :)

Abhishek Outstanding review, Fabian! ... I've seen the movie, maybe, like a gazillion times! I am perfectly aligned with the universe in that why this movie has retained its numero uno status in IMDB Top 250 for over a decade straight now.

Actually I find it difficult to imagine that any book can do more than what the movie already did to me! But after your (and Sanjay's ) review, I can feel those doubts creeping up. This book is now in my reading list for this year. ... :)

Thanks, Abhishek! I encourage you not to go into this novella thinking it's going to be the same as the movie, because it isn't. The perfect movie added a lot of intriguing material to the story, which is why I ultimately loved the movie even more. The novella is still written on a high literary level, though. I hope you will enjoy reading it :)
