Caroline A great review. You pull the book into the 21st century and make it sound a must read :)

Rowena Thank you so much, Caroline :) It's seriously a great book. I think you'd like it!

Rowena Thank you, Kirsty! :)

Elaine Couldn't agree more with your review. Startling and honest ( and yes semi autobiographical) book. Not an easy book to read if you're squeamish but a must read.

B. P. Rinehart Cool, I really may read this after "Homage to Catalonia".

Thanks Elaine :) Startling and honest are definitely very apt adjectives.

Ian "Marvin" Graye Nice. We just did a Down and Out in Paris and London trip.

You don't have to worry about the restaurants. I can recommend a few.

Thanks Ian, that would be great! And if you could also give me some literary places to visit, I'd like that a lot. I'm hopefully visiting in the Spring.

Matt You might want to check out The Squirrel that Dreamt of Madness by Craig Stone. It's also biographical fiction, and being homeless (for a while) and it could have been called "Down and out in London".
