Mel I love your reviews. <3

message 2: by Cory (new)

Cory Thank you.

message 3: by Mel (new)

Mel And now I freaking love your new dp.

message 4: by Mel (new)

Mel Lol I love that this book is called 'Silence'. But I think this should have been practiced from the very beginning of the series. It would have saved a lot of braincells.

Cory Mel wrote: "Lol I love that this book is called 'Silence'. But I think this should have been practiced from the very beginning of the series. It would have saved a lot of braincells."

Right? I'm hoping it's just full of blank pages. I don't put that past whoever published this.

message 6: by Mel (new)

Mel Maybe in this book, Silence is supposed to represent rocks falling and everybody dying. 8D

message 7: by Cory (new)

Cory Hopefully Patch is the first. Wouldn't it be crazy if we find out he's really Nora's father? Now that would make me read this entire series four times over.

message 8: by Mel (new)

Mel I want Patch to still want to kill Nora and just turn out to have been bullshitting her with his 'romantic bad boy' exterior. Now THAT would make a brilliant twist.

message 9: by Cory (new)

Cory Very much so. Then he kills her. And we get a fourth book on their child. Now how would that work? But I know it would happen. I'm just waiting for Meyer to write the 5th Twilight book where Leah imprints on Jacob and Renesme's child.

message 10: by Ceilidh (new)

Ceilidh Ugh, that Tw*light summary is freaky because I can see SMeyer pulling shit like that. Her defences of imprinting creep me out so much, they reek of rape (and later paedophilia) apologism.

Anyways, I will probably end up reviewing Silence too. Crescendo's in the local library and I know I won't be able to stop myself from reading it for the fail factor.

Spider the Doof Warrior Oh for the love of milk, ANOTHER ONE?

I don't know if I'll ever read it. I never finished the first one. It bored me to death.

message 13: by Cory (new)

Cory Synesthesia wrote: "Oh for the love of milk, ANOTHER ONE?"

Yes, another. Just when you thought too many rain forests had been cut down to produce one of the worst books of the decade -- they cut down three more. The screams of a thousand misplaced animals can now be heard as Patch threatens Nora once again.

message 14: by Scarlet (new)

Scarlet Heavens Shut up you people. Don't you know that the Archangels see and hear and know everything? :D You have been warned. :D That was the biggest bullshit of the series: 'I can't tell you that I love you, cause they will hear.' Yeah right. Give me a break. And the other one: "I am an angel who has needs after all, and the archangels allow me to have sex, but they don't allow me to fall in love."
And to think people still like these series? A friend of mine asked me if she should read it, and I was like, hell no, it is Twilight all over again, only much more complicated and senseless mythology, except of course, the sparkling skin disease Edward has. :D

Everley Sharp, the Clankinist Go away, haters. Can't you see you're ruining it for those who like these books? No, of course not. You just like to complain and irritate us with your stupid and insensitive words that make us who like the book feel like we must be stupid for liking it, which we aren't, and in reality you're the stupid ones.

The archangels can see your stupidity, puny mortal. Don't think they can't. They even watch you while you pee. They can see EEEEVERYTHIIIING.

Kogiopsis Everley the Beautiful Chaotic One wrote: "Go away, haters. Can't you see you're ruining it for those who like these books? No, of course not. You just like to complain and irritate us with your stupid and insensitive words that make us who..."

...please explain to me how the 'haters' are supposed to 'go away' from a review written by one of 'them'.

No, really. Do you seek out one-star reviws so you can tell people who disagree with you to shut up?

Everley Sharp, the Clankinist No, of course I do not seek one star reviews out just ti disagree with them! But I'm just here to tell you that I've lived my whole life being made fun of simply because I read and wear glasses and I have issues with things or people that make me feel stupid. So sure, you can insult the book, just don't make it sound like the people who like to read it are stupid, vacuous, dung brained idiots who are obsessed with Twilight (which wasn't even written very well.)

Spider the Doof Warrior I'm not making fun of you, I just really hate this series of books.
I kind of like Twilight. it is entertaining. Though that sort of I CAN'T BREATHE WITHOUT YOU OH NO YOU LEFT THE ROOM *gASP *DIES* love is not very healthy.
I just hate this series because Patch really is not a healthy person to be attracted too. He's a JERK. Girls should never go for jerks. I will never go for jerks, but yeah, we just don't like it, but it doesn't mean we don't like you. You have a rather cool name.

message 20: by Cory (new)

Cory I should call you guys the troll busters. It always amazes me that we're called haters for hating a book series that glorifies rape.

message 21: by Vi (new)

Vi Vi Everley, I'm legitimately confused. Are your comments for lulz sake or are you actually being serious with that? I hope to god it's the former.

Spider the Doof Warrior Yeah, Patch SEXUALLY HARASSES HER! There's really nothing sexy or romantic about SEXUAL HARASSMENT! It's not the new flowers and chocolate you know. It's not the new sweet talking it's SEXUAL HARASSMENT! And a woman doesn't have to take it anymore. Or a man for that matter.

message 23: by Mel (last edited Mar 19, 2011 02:17PM) (new)

Mel So Everley, you came here to make fun of us... to complain people are making fun of you... You make no sense kid. We're complaining about this rape and abuse glorifying series, not the people who read it. If you choose to take that as offense to you, whom we've never even met until now (unfortunately) then that's your problem.

Scarlet Heavens Everley the Beautiful Chaotic One wrote: "No, of course I do not seek....."

Everybody has the right to read and like whatever they want.
We're not haters. We're realistic.
I am not saying you're stupid because you like it. Don't get me wrong. But, may be, when you will compare it to a book like Vampire Academy, or some other good book, you will realize what we're talking about.
There ain't nothing sweet about sexual harrasment, nevermind if it is in your dreams or not.

message 27: by Kiki (new)

Kiki Cory, darling, you're SO lucky! You have a Hush, Hush troll! They're rare around these parts, but fascinating specimens in that they communicate in a distinctly different tongue to say, Twilight or Fallen trolls. Oh, I must edit my entry to the Encyclopedia of Trolls!

message 28: by Cory (new)

Cory Kira wrote: "Cory, darling, you're SO lucky! You have a Hush, Hush troll! They're rare around these parts, but fascinating specimens in that they communicate in a distinctly different tongue to say, Twilight or..."

I didn't know there were different breeds. I must say that Twitrolls are my favorites. Where else would you get: Edward n Bella 4ever 111!!!apple!!!111

message 29: by Kiki (new)

Kiki Oh, there are many fascinating and various breeds of troll. I find that the most interesting to troll-watch are those who hunt in pairs or small groups. Twilight trolls generally use this strategy, and are the least intelligent of all the troll breeds.

I moonlight as a Trollhunter. You may find me on YouTube in many guises, working to defeat the evil underworld of mentally challenged Twitrolls. It is my sworn duty to eradicate the threat by adopting behaviours of trolls and their accomplices, then striking when they are open and at their weakest.

That, my friend, is the ancient and beautiful Scottish art of Trollwhipping.

message 30: by Cory (last edited Apr 02, 2011 07:11PM) (new)

Cory God, YouTube trolls are the worst. If you're ever looking for idiots, stalk the comments there. And there are some huge trolls on Yahoo Answers. Don't even get me started on FanFiction.net. They actually have intelligent trolls that are horrible jerks.

Have you ever had anyone pull the, I'm really sick and had surgery card, on you?

message 31: by Mel (new)

Mel Lol Kira, are you by any chance the one named Sailor Kira?

The only trolls I got so far are Marked trolls. I'm still waiting for Hush, Hush trolls. Lord knows I pretty much took a shit on those books.

message 32: by Kiki (new)

Kiki She is the ONE NAMED SAILOR KIRA. She is the one, SAILOR KIRA!

Yes, Ducky. I am. And don't underestimate the entertainment factor of Marked trolls, biscuit. They are a very unintelligent breed, yet fascinating in their determination and very creative in the spelling of their specific mating calls.

Cory, YouTube is AWESOME if you want to troll trolls. Taylor Swift trolls ARE HILARIOUS. I had a rather entertaining incident with an alpha-female troll, one of a large pack, who responded with instinctive aggression toward a comment I left pertaining to Mr. West's comical performance at the VMAs.

Yahoo Answers is a wonderful place to troll. A very famous troll, RBX, is notorious as the alpha-troll in that part of the Interweb savannah. On Fanfiction.net, you may even have the good fortune of coming across the beautiful yet deadly plumage of an Anonymous Troll, though Moot does not regularly appear there to hunt.

Brilliance. Pure and utter brilliance.

And don't fret Mel. Your Marked trolls take stupidity to another degree. They remind me of the trolls on Isis' review of Halo, or was it Graceling?

I think it was Graceling. Those ones were quite... something.

Lol Kira, I love your new name. <3 Your super girl costume should arrive any minute now.

message 35: by Kiki (new)

Kiki OMIFUCK, DUCKY! YAY! I'm gonna wear it to school on Monday. Hell yeah!

message 36: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Cory you are absolutely right; this series is like a very bad soap opera. I will be honest I think Hush,Hush series are so popular because of the covers.

Spider the Doof Warrior I will not read this book, but this cover is so sexy! I just have a thing for winged people.... It will not suck me in though!

message 38: by Miakoda (new)

Miakoda *covers mouth with hand* That cover of Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick hilarious. Lets play that picture scene shall we...

Guy : "Yeahhh"
Girl : *eyes flutter* aahhh

And cut.

message 39: by Scarlet (new)

Scarlet Heavens Is this the last book?

Spider the Doof Warrior Dude's all like, "yeah baby, look at my sexy wings." *flaps them*
Girl's all like *Swoon*

message 41: by Scarlet (new)

Scarlet Heavens Synesthesia wrote: "Dude's all like, "yeah baby, look at my sexy wings." *flaps them*

Isn't that what the whole book is about? :D

Spider the Doof Warrior Well, mostly it's-
*Patch does something rude*
Nora-Even if he was really mean to me, I still feel drawn to him. I think I'll put on a sexy dress and investigate him.
Vee-Sexual sexy sex sexual sex men bodies kissing boys sex sex sex
Patch-*Makes Nora really nervous by getting too close to her and threatening her with a knife or doing something sexual harrasmenty at her.*
Nora-Oh, Patch, even if you are treating me like crap, I'm still so interested in you. i'm going to look you up on Google.
Vee-Kiss him, have sex with him, sex sex sex and more sexual sexy sex sex.

Then I don't know what happened for the rest of the series because I stopped at book 1 and didn't even get to the Look at My Wings parts because the first one was so annoying.
Also there is the coach.
Coach-Even if Patch makes you nervous, I want you to tutor him and point out that he makes you quite randy in front of the whole class.

message 43: by Scarlet (new)

Scarlet Heavens You are so right.
The sad part is, it could have been a really good story, if the characters weren't so shallow, and small minded.

message 44: by KJ Shadows (new)

KJ Shadows @ Synesthesia LOL!!! OMG...I think I just ROFL for real.

message 45: by Meishuu (new)

Meishuu It is a bad teen soap opera.

message 46: by Madeline (new)

Madeline This series reminds me a lot of twilight.

message 47: by Htb2050 (new)

Htb2050 this book sucked. from start to finish nothing happened. Nothing at all.
