Gilgamesha You know I didn't read Caldwell for a while and then went back to read some her of recent books and they were just too elementary for my taste now.....I think I have become a sophisticate lol

Oh totally, I went back to some reviews which I wrote when I started reading this genre again. When I read those books again now, man I cannot believe how superficial the stories are.

I think it is normal to be impressed by flowery words and little substance in the beginning, just as we were when we were 18. hahahahaha

Ally I still go back to Caldwell whenever I need a read that doesn't call for much attention. It's nice to be able to read and wander off. That said, if I have to read too much of hers, that it's a no. Just too much fluffy filler.

Juliana Philippa These are EXACTLY the problems I'm having with this book, especially the main characters!

Zoe I didn't read any other book from this writer after this book. I fear feeling like I was in high school again. lol

Juliana Philippa Was really bad. Read the second one in the series and was a bit better, but still had a lot of issues (yet is also beloved!! I don't get it).

Do recommend her most recent book though: The Rogue's Wager . Is the beginning of a new series and was really good; have to double check, but think it made it onto my favs of 2016 list. Think it might be time for me to call it quits on this series though, because it just isn't doing it for me!
