Wow, I want to read this. Stories within stories and Polish writers have been a recent motif in my reading list, so this is perfect. Stunning review as well!
Thanks, SP. Fantastic book, a joy to read, one of those tomes for which one eagerly anticipates arriving home from work in order to sink into its blissful pages yet again. Definitely five-star material if only that pitch-perfect blend of supernatural eeriness from the first half had been maintained in the second.
