Jasmin hi fran. so far so good :)

message 3: by Fran (new)

Fran Glad you like it so far Jasmin- heard the next one is even better.

message 4: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin haha and i didnt even notice there was a sequel! haha. thank God its about a different brother.

message 5: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert Great review, Jasmin! I love your visual aids! Especially the first one :)

message 6: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin nissie, i love that one too! Jay Hernandez is a perfect Alex Fuentes! :D

message 7: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert I want to see his new movie Takers. Lots of eye candy in that one :)

message 8: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin ohh, got to agree. Hope we see a lot of Jay Hernandez. I've had a huge crush on him ever since I saw him at Crazy/Beautiful ♥

message 9: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert I've never seen that one. Is it good?

message 10: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin umm, i remember loving it when i was younger. Hmm, just don't know if I would still like it now the way I used to if i get to see it again. Im actually scared it would turn up like my "romeo and Juliet" experience. me loving it one second, then hating it the next. XD

message 11: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert LOL! I've done that. I'll talk my sons into watching a movie I LOVED years ago and when I watch it with them, I'm like "This sucks!"

message 12: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin how many sons you got? and what movie are we talking about? :P

message 13: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert I have 2 sons. They're 24 and 25 and they're awesome! And I'm getting kinda old lol! The movie I was talking about was The Man In The Moon, but maybe I was just not in the right mood to watch it. It's so sad!!

message 14: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin i saw the synopsis of the man in the moon. it feels kinda romance-y. You had ur sons watch that? seriously? hehe :D

message 15: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert Haha! Yeah, I did. It's not TOO romance-y. A lot of angst though. I didn't remember a lot about it, just that I thought it was great the first time I watched it. And it has Reese Witherspoon in it. I thought it would be okay. They didn't enjoy it very much :)

message 16: by Lady Jayne *~*The Beach Bandida*~* (last edited Sep 06, 2010 05:01AM) (new)

Lady Jayne *~*The Beach Bandida*~* Great review, Jasmin! And Jay Hernandez is hot! ^_^

message 17: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin @nissie, i think i must make it a "must" to see the movie. sometimes things are just to be taken at one dose. ;)

@ate jayne, thanks. and yes. Jay Hernandez is YUM! :D

message 18: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert Let me know what you think! Just don't watch it with young guys unless one is your boyfriend :)!!

message 19: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin fortunately, scratch that. Unfortunately i have no younger/older brothers or a boyfriend to watch it with. har har :o

message 20: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert lol! It could be unfortunate not to not have brothers, but IMO no boyfriend is sometimes a good thing. SOMETIMES lol! I think the movie is just a little to slow for most guys to enjoy it.

message 21: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin no sister. not having a boyfriend ever is just pure tragedy haha.

message 22: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert haha yeah I know. I'm just a little cynical sometimes about that stuff. There just doesn't seem to be any good ones left. :)

message 23: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin aww. i know the good ones are either in a relationship/married or gay but pls don't crush the remaining hopes I have. har har. I know there's someone out there for me. Just hope I meet him before my age hits 60. haha XD

message 24: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert Oh you will Jasmin! There's still plenty of hope for you. You're still young. I've got to the cougar age now lol! But yeah, yours is out there!!!

message 25: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin I do hope there is. But the problem is, I have a ROMANCE book overdose, so i think my standards for men are way up to the moon. Or maybe not my standards for men themselves. Rather my standards for LOVE. *sigh* I know I'm not really "choosy", but I want to have a love story worthy of being turned to a book.

There's hope for us. Some men find cougars hot. ;)

message 26: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert That's my problem- too many romance novels!! And I'm not into going out on the town. There's not a lot of guys that would want to stay at home on Saturday night and read with me lol! But, yeah, I admit my standards and expectations are probably too high. I think all TRUE love stories are worthy of a book!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I keep hearing I should read this book! Guess I better get on with it :)

I don't know what happened, but the picture of the blond took up my whole screen in the email update. I was like HOLY COW!!!!!!!! LOL

Danielle The Book Huntress (Back to the Books) Awesome review, Jasmin! I loved this book!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Is it an open ended series?

message 30: by Jasmin (last edited Sep 07, 2010 05:04PM) (new)

Jasmin @nissie, i know what ur talking about. Me, instead of going out on a friday would rather go straight home and read/rest.

@dhes, LOL! sorry for the inconvenience. This is a nice read, and no worries. The book pretty much sums ALEX and BRITTANY. no cliffhangers. hmm, the next book is about Alex' other brother :)

@danielle, thanks! :D

message 31: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert That's what I do Jasmin. But if I had my own personal hero I'm not quite sure I'd do as much reading as I do now :):)!

message 32: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin @nissie, yeah, especially if he looks like, hmm, Jensen Ackles. i bet I wouldn't have either reading or resting in mind. *evil laugh*

message 33: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert I had to Google him, but yeah, I'd have to agree :)

message 34: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin he's yummy right nissie? *drool*

message 35: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert He is very yummy!! Nothing like that around here :(

message 36: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin weh? seriously? hmm, where are u exactly at the states? I was expecting Jensen Ackles look alikes just roaming around there. Or am i headed into a big disappointment?

ONe time I asked Lady Jayne if there were also tons of Hugh Jackman look alikes roaming Australia. Haha. She said Hugh Jackman is like one in a million.

Maybe Im just too hopeful. hehe :D

message 37: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert I'm in a really small town in North Carolina. Nothing here in this town. Other places however, there are lots of yummy guys. Most of them are in Hollywood haha! No, I don't think you'd be disappointed in the states! We have lots and lots!! Even if some of them are taken, you can still look :)

message 38: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin I'm good at looking! haha. I feel like drooling alreaddyy. I'm going to look at my
1000 Places to See Before You Die US & Canada by Patricia Schultz
and take a look at NC. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder nissie. I have a variety of tastes. I could already imagine a huge buffeet! ;)

message 39: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert NC has some beautiful PLACES lol! But you're right beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you just might appreciate what we have to offer in the man department. I've lived here all my life, so I'm pretty burned out on these guys. They are southern gentlemen for the most part, so that's something!!

message 40: by Jasmin (last edited Sep 09, 2010 03:42AM) (new)

Jasmin umm, I'll definitely be looking forward to that nissie. and I love how u call it. Man Department. Sounds *gulp* nice. errr, definitely more than nice:D

message 41: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert Some of it is very, very nice!! Some of it's nasty and some is just...well,scary :D! Are you planning a trip to the states soon?

message 42: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin yep. Hopefully this coming february. actually, its not more of a trip. i was actually born at CA, but we migrated when i was about, i guess, 7? I almost got my dad in jail. I was a terrible kid i guess. How come you say nasty and scary? I'm used to scary. toons of scary faces here in the Philippines. LOL, just kidding. XD

message 43: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert The scary part- there are some who just look psycho! The nasty part- you do occasionally come across some guys who are,well......not well groomed :) But I guess you'll find that anywhere you go lol! Are you just going to CA or other places here too?

message 44: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin psychoo!? i'v been watching tons of tv series such as criminal minds and sometimes it creeps me out.

traveling would be nice. but i dont know if my budget would manage. my parents aren't actually ecstatic that im leaving, so no help from them. I'm actually on my own, on earning my air fare and pocket money.

message 45: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert I love those shows! They are a little creepy sometimes. Are you moving here permanently, then?

message 46: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin creepy, but I'm more on like do those things really happen?

hmm, i plan on staying "quite" permanently. I just hope the US would be kind to me. I'm actually anchored on my family, so me leaving them is kind of a big leap for me. I actually need a little freedom from them, because they can be suffocating at times. But aside from that, I want to find myself too. Hopefully i would be a little more than strong willed when i get there. :D

message 47: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert I'm sorry to say, yes, I think a lot of those things do really happen :(

That is a big leap!! It sounds scary and wonderful at the same time! I think people will be kind. My family is still a little suffocating and I'm old haha. Are you coming alone and do you know anyone here? I wish you all the best :):)!!

message 48: by Jasmin (last edited Sep 09, 2010 06:24PM) (new)

Jasmin i guess here in the philippines there are psychos, but not televised as much..

hmm, i think my aunt is going w/ me, but i think she expects me to go back to the Philippines w/ her. We have a few relatives back there. But i actually plan on living alone. Or rather when I find a decent job. thanks Nissie. Im actually quite scared but I need to be brave. We're never too old for self discovery. My parents are super duper uber strict. I haven't had a boyfriend yet, since i couldn't be even let out to date. Beat that nissie LOL!

message 49: by Ankita (new)

Ankita i totally love the movie crazy/butiful....

n yeah Perfect chem. is so totally perfect!!!!

message 50: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin Hello Ankita. I remember loving that movie too. And that movie made me have an ultimate crush on Jay Hernandez. I just can't remember other parts of it.

Good you enjoyed this one :)
