Christy Sherrill Rachel,
Hi there,
I was looking at your review. And I agree with your "recommended for: no one! it's terrible". That part I understand because I read it. So the question is : if that is the way you feel, why the 4 out of 5 stars?

Rachel You see, I am very hypocritical. And kind of dramatic. And vindictive. I really enjoyed this book even though I kind of hated it. I guess you could call it a really fucked up guilty pleasure read, I couldn't help but root for this pathetic bastard of a book. Ugh. I don't know. I really can't explain myself.

Danielle I love this book! I found it to be extremely witty. Sometimes you need an easy, effortless read that's just RELAXING to read, rather than having to find the deeper meaning, and this is certainly one of those books.

I have to agree with danielle :)

message 5: by Ðɑηηɑ (new)

Ðɑηηɑ How come you rated it 4 stars, and recommendaing it to no one? :)

message 6: by Loegwen (new)

Loegwen You gave it four stars and said it was terrible? I'm confuzzled.

message 7: by Debbie (new)

Debbie yes, why 4 stars, great comments, and recommend it to no one?

message 8: by Laura (new)

Laura I became a little annoyed in some parts of the book but then glad to see the main character grew.

Alice Rachel, I totally understand ur feelings & what ur trying to say haha. The childish & pathetic Becky got lucky it ended with a happy ending. That kinda pissed me cause I wanted to have a terrible ending for her! But then it wouldn't be chic lit anymore isnt it? This is frustrating.

message 16: by Girls Account (new)

Girls Account I started this book the othed day and my friend (who is reallh known for recomendinv good books) caught me reading this and she explained to me that she had read the book and that it was "sad and a complete waste of time".

I put the book down for a while and decided to search some reviews on the book and yours just happened to be the one that I saw first. I noticed that you have inspired many others to read the book. I then decided to continue the book.

I finished the and found it a very easy, fun, and relatable read. After finishing this great book I recomended it to many of my friends and family. Then I told my friend who disapproved of the book and told her how much I enjoyed it.

I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me and many others! :)

message 19: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Abud Made for good laughs...compares to watching a comedy- so why not read? I might add- I read this book as a teen in first year college. Any older than that, you might not be interested!

message 20: by Christine (new)

Christine Good light reading, but hardly great literature. Three things especially make it annoying:
1)Becky "stares" about every other paragraph, which I find extremely annoying.
2) She ignores obvious, easy solutions to problems in favor of dumb actions that make the situation in question harder than it has to be.
3) There are too many "silences" in this book.
Still, I read all of books in the series, as they are lots of fun.
