Erica The cover also looks very "YA book for adults" to me.

YES, yes it does.

rachelwrites007 Oh bummer. I was really looking forward to this book and loved the cover. I might try and see how I feel, though I often read your reviews and feel similarly…

The cover isn't really relevant to the story (maybe the clouds for the dead sister?). It's not a bad book, but it IS disappointing in execution and not one I'd be quick to hand to a reader. Which isn't to say DON'T read it, but it doesn't have to be at the very top of your pile ;)

rachelwrites007 Wow, I was disappointed too. I finished today. I wanted *more* from the story. But I was also distracted because I'm currently revising my YA about 3 sisters who go hiking/tell each other fairy tales/have a secret/sleep with the older sister's boyfriend, about to go on sub. Talk about a really weird distraction!) I wanted more from the characters… I just felt like I didn't connect with them, which is a bummer. I wanted more backstory btwn R & D, more backstory between Sarah and Asha as sisters… It was solidly written, though.)
