Heather *Awkward Queen and Unicorn Twin* Don't know if you know this BUT there is a movie version of this with Fairuza Balk.

Jeff so I am officially the worst buddy-reader ever

Whew. *gladly hands over tiara and scepter to Karly*

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* *begrudgingly takes tiara and scepter*

Heather *Awkward Queen and Unicorn Twin* You're welcome. I know you love her. :)

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* Oh man, I wonder if I can find it and force CQ to watch it with me *maniacal laughter*

Trish I like H.G. Wells but I have never given this a try. Maybe I should ...

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* It's definitely some of his crunchier writing, but once I got into it I kind of forgot about that to be honest.

I would say if you like his other stuff there's a good chance you'll like this one.

Trish I love all gifs with Emma Stone so far - she's perfect for gifs. xD

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* That movie (Easy A) is actually pretty hilarious at times.

I have such a ladycrush on Emma Stone, her face is so awesome for gifs and emotional expression.

message 28: by Trish (new)

Trish Yup and since she's such a funny person I bet she likes all the gifs and memes with her. xD

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna bingeread lock & key when it comes in, but I love all the horror reads everyone's gonna do for the season

message 35: by Trish (new)

Trish I'm the odd one around here for loving October and Halloween the way I do. It's nice to know I have a tribe. ;)
And yes, Jennifer Lawrence is just like Emma Stone. #girlcrush

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* @ Kat: I KNOW!!!! It's awesome.

@ Trish: You are amongst friends.

Aisling Zena Fab review Karly! :) I have a feeling most scientists are insatiably curious and mostly do things just to satisfy that need with the ever convenient excuse it's for science/research.

Kristin Pretty sure this makes ME the bad buddy reader, my dear. Great review. I'll get on this ASAP. Can't wait to see how the other one you are going to read will hold up to this. I read The Madman's Daughter, which sounds like it may be quite similar. It was pretty good and I agree, his creatures are pretty disturbing, at least in that one.

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* Awww. ♥

I'll be interested to read your thoughts! So far its very different but wonderfully written :)

Aisling: thank you, and you may be right, but I hate to think scientists would take any excuse. It just hurts my heart to think that.

Pam Great review, Karly :)
