Jenny I thought I would love this when it came out but then forgot to order/read bec. I read a critical review. Your review is great! I love the passages you quote. Thank you Jenny!

I liked it! Just some musings and it made me think and reflect a lot on my own experiences. It's not deep and detailed the way Manguel's writings on books is but I think there is room for this perspective. I'd love to know what you think. It will be quick.
I liked this, it was a little philosophical for me being a practical sort of girl but the black and white drawings were so fun and it really just made me want to read more novels.

In my reading class we had a day where we did some deliberate slow reading, and I read them some of his musings on speed, etc. It was a nice segue into the exercise. (Spend 15 minutes on one page, etc.)
