Meredith Russo
“Maybe secrets were part of life; maybe everyone had something they were lying to themselves about, or something they were hiding.
I looked up at the cross again and wondered if I was supposed to hear this particular sermon at this particular moment for a reason. I decided that the people who had said God didn’t love me, who said I didn’t have a place on Earth—they were wrong. God wanted me to live, and this was the only way I knew how to survive, so this was what God wanted. This was what I wanted. I had chosen to live, and it seemed like, finally, I was doing just that.”
Meredith Russo, If I Was Your Girl

Sue Monk Kidd
“Our religion might preach love, but it was based on purity. God was holy and pure; therefore we must be holy and pure. But here was a poor mamzer saying God is love; therefore we must be love.”
Sue Monk Kidd, The Book of Longings

Laksmi Pamuntjak
Laksmi Pamuntjak, The Question of Red

“Religion helps us create a space for God, but it is through spirituality that we are able to find God inside and outside of any defined spaces.”
Toyin Omofoye

“In the months and years following my participation in the completion of Oracle of Compassion: the Living Word of Kuan Yin, I did, in accordance with the deity’s former declaration—that she would continue sending important dreams, experience many dreams and visitations from Kuan Yin. It was after completing the transcription of some of the Kuan Yin quotes that I fell into a deep slumber. Just before awakening, I dreamt of Kuan Yin standing in my living room directly in front of the marble-tiled fireplace wherein Lena Lees and I would hold prayer circles.
So real was this vision that I could hear the deity’s sweet voice explain that there is a specific meditation for connecting with the Celestial Wisdom! Witnessing Kuan Yin lie face down on the Oriental Carpet with arms outstretched over Her head, I watched as Her thumb and forefinger formed a triangle—the dhyana mudra specifically designated to Kannon called the dhyana mudra displayed by the fourth Dhyani Buddha Amitabha, also known as Amitayus Kuan Yin. It was then that Kuan Yin further explained the significance of this specific mudra; that it acts similar to a capstone on an obelisk—drawing wisdom to one who has demonstrated intention to be a teacher of wisdom.
Aware that Kuan Yin was pointed in a northward direction, I surmised this particular alignment was also a significant aspect of the meditation—that this specific positioning was most ideal for receiving answers for prayers directed to the Her.
Later in the dream, it was confirmed that each person attracts from the universe, realities that are aligned with their specific beliefs and values.”
Hope Bradford CHt, Kuan Yin Buddhism:: The Kuan Yin Parables, Visitations and Teachings

“Spirituality is your own imagination.

Religion is someone else's imagination.

Both are based on nothing more than wishful thinking.

Science is the search for evidence-based truth. Very different from wishful thinking.”

Kiran Atma
“The "affirmation" of God, is therefore related to mythical consciousness, but this consciousness is only "provisional" There would vanish the propensity to construct "fictions" and "fables" in which gods and ghosts are introduced to justify matters that can be scientifically explained. We accordingly refuse God's "affirmation" because we want to speed up the birth of scientific consciousness.”
Kiran Atma

Laurence Galian
“When human beings free themselves from the dust of the traditions and enter the clean space, they will see the brilliant face of the friend of God and benefit from his presence without any obstruction, in public. At that time ordinances of religion will become something else, and religion will attain its original form and everything will be different.”

Jeremy Riden, Your Soul Story

“The purpose of all sacred is to enhance the meaning in our lives. Jung also considers belief as an ontological phenomenon. This phenomenon symbolically participates in people’s world of meaning. When we say that a person is believing, we mean that s/he is awakening the dormant symbols, in other words, possibilities of ideas. The fact that one does not believe means that those symbols lose their vitality for that person and gaps in meanings occur in the mind of the contemporary human.”
ahmet turan esin, The Void

Guru Z.S. Gill
“Religion is like music; each individual has their own tastes and likes when it comes to music. One can understand the music of another person's choice, even listen to it when they are in a mood, but do they have to like it or listen to it all the time - No. Same goes for Religion - its the music for humans - different for different people with different mindsets and beliefs. Like we don't force music on others, we should never force Religion. It's a choice to believe.”
Guru Z.S. Gill
