Jocelyn Soriano
“To be rejected by someone doesn't mean you should also reject yourself or that you should think of yourself as a lesser person. It doesn't mean that nobody will ever love you anymore. Remember that only ONE person has rejected you at the moment, and it only hurt so much because to you, that person's opinion symbolized the opinion of the whole world, of God.”
Jocelyn Soriano, Mend My Broken Heart

Jocelyn Soriano
“Yes, I understand why things had to happen this way. I understand his reason for causing me pain. But mere understanding does not chase away the hurt. It does not call upon the sun when dark clouds have loomed over me. Let the rain come then if it must come! And let it wash away the dust that hurt my eyes!”
Jocelyn Soriano, Mend My Broken Heart

S.C. Stephens
“I know...and I love you. But I don't think we love each other in the same way. And...I think keeping you near me, would destroy me.”

Lisi Harrison, Monster High

Nikki Sixx
“Love those who hurt you the most, because they are probably the ones closest to you.
They, too, are on a path, and just like you they are learning to walk before they can fly. Imagine of everybody you hurt in life turned their backs on you? You would be playing a hell of a lot of solitaire.
Love them no matter what.”

“Do we know our poor people? Do we know the poor in our house, in our family? Perhaps they are not hungry for a piece of bread. Perhaps our children, husband, wife, are not hungry, or naked, or dispossessed, but are you sure there is no one there who feels unwanted, deprived of affection?”

“Sooo, I'm tired of people thinking I'm a freak. I know you can't relate to that but -"
"Get over it already, will ya?" Candace stood. "You're not Smellody anymore. You're pretty. You can get hot guys now. Tanned ones with good vision. Not geeky hose jousters." She shut the window. "Don't you ever want to use your lips as something other than veneer protectors?"

Melody felt a familiar pinch behind her eyes. Her throat dried. Her eyes burned. And then they came. Like salty little paratroopers, tears descended en masse. She hated Candace thought she had never made out with a boy. But how could she convince a seventeen-year-old with more dates than a fruitcake that Randy the Starbucks cashier (aka Scarbucks, because of his acne scars) was a great kisser? She couldn't.”
Lisi Harrison, Monster High

Alaric Hutchinson
“Relationships are steppingstones for the evolution of our consciousness. Each interaction we have, be it one of joy or contrast, allows us to learn more about who we are and what we want in this lifetime. They bring us into greater alignment…as long as we continue to move forward and do not get attached to hurt, anger, or being a victim.”
Alaric Hutchinson, Living Peace

“That really pissed me off, because I am worth it, goddamn it!”

Maureen Dowd
“McChrystal's defenders at the Pentagon were making the case Tuesday that the president and his men—(the McChrystal snipers spared Hillary)—must put aside their hurt feelings about being painted as weak sisters. Obama should not fire the serially insubordinate general, they reasoned, because that would undermine the mission in Afghanistan, and if that happens, then Obama would be further weakened.

So the commander in chief can be bad-mouthed as weak by the military but then he can't punish the military because that would make him weak? It's the same sort of pass-the-Advil vicious circle reasoning the military always uses.”
Maureen Dowd

“Karena jika mengendapkannya, itu sama saja dia masih meletakkan gadis itu di dalam hatinya, di dalam memorinya. Dia masih akan mengingat wajah gadis itu, dan hal seperti ini bukan hal yang bagus untuk kehidupannya nanti.”

“She had been crazy about me and I'd been mad about her. Everything we'd shared together seemed real till the storms arrived. It was then that I'd seen a full glimpse of what had been staring in my face for so long. To her, love had just been a feeling that could burn out like a strong fire only to leave its painful imprints forever. Before the storms could come down, she'd replaced me.
I'd given her my all believing what we felt had been genuine love. All she'd done was to leave my life and world an empty space as she'd taken everything along with her. Loving her had been all l ever lived for. I'd always believed love was life itself under a beautiful rainbow but after what the damsel did to me, the rainbow was gone.
Life meant nothing to me but a struggle which you would still lose at the end. I had almost given up on love till l met Christ. He' d told me love was everything I'd imagined it to be but sometimes it was taken for granted. I thought l'd heard it all till he whispered into ma ears:"If it doesn't hurt then it sure isn't love. I never understood what he'd meant at that time until l chanced upon 1Corinthians 13 whilst studying the Bible. It had been then that l fully understood what he really meant. The love of Christ for me had truly been a painful one; sacrificing his place in heaven to die for me and I'd still taken it for granted.
Two years later, I'd been back on my feet and more enthused about love than I had ever been. As fate would have it, I'd met the damsel who almost made me lose my belief. She looked frustrated and traumatised as I passed through the park. I'd sat by her and listened to her story; the young man she had replaced me with was a jerk who had turned her into a boxing bag and also squandered all her wealth. She had asked me if it was her punishment for leaving when I needed her the most. Just as Christ had whispered into ma ears, I'd also whispered into hers;"if it doesn't hurt, it sure isn't love. "With that I had placed a kiss on her forehead and coiled her into my arms as we watched da sun set. At that moment , all I could tink of were those words Christ had said to me during my time of distress. Then at last I'd whispered into the air; "You're a genius , Lord. It couldn't have happened anymore better.”
Abishag Kohl
