“HEARTWORK

Each day is born with a sunrise
and ends in a sunset, the same way we
open our eyes to see the light,
and close them to hear the dark.
You have no control over
how your story begins or ends.
But by now, you should know that
all things have an ending.
Every spark returns to darkness.
Every sound returns to silence.
And every flower returns to sleep
with the earth.
The journey of the sun
and moon is predictable.
But yours,
is your ultimate
ART.”
Suzy Kassem

Nikki Rowe
“There isn't any questioning the fact that some people enter your life, at the exact point of need, want or desire - it's sometimes a coincendence and most times fate, but whatever it is, I am certain it came to make me smile.”
Nikki Rowe

“Featherweight by Suzy Kassem

One evening,
I sat by the ocean and questioned the moon about my destiny.
I revealed to it that I was beginning to feel smaller compared to others,
Because the more secrets of the universe I would unlock,
The smaller in size I became.

I didn't understand why I wasn't feeling larger instead of smaller.
I thought that seeking Truth was what was required of us all –
To show us the way, not to make us feel lost,
Up against the odds,
In a devilish game partitioned by
An invisible wall.

Then the next morning,
A bird appeared at my window, just as the sun began
Spreading its yolk over the horizon.
It remained perched for a long time,
Gazing at me intently, to make sure I knew I wasn’t dreaming.
Then its words gently echoed throughout my mind,
Telling me:

'The world you are in –
Is the true hell.
The journey to Truth itself
Is what quickens the heart to become lighter.
The lighter the heart, the purer it is.
The purer the heart, the closer to light it becomes.
And the heavier the heart,
The more chained to this hell
It will remain.'

And just like that, it flew off towards the sun,
Leaving behind a tiny feather.
So I picked it up,
And fastened it to a toothpick,
To dip into ink
And write my name.”

Mouloud Benzadi
“If you can't change it, learn to live with it.”
Mouloud Benzadi

Abhaidev
“There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who go with the flow, where destiny takes them, and those who fight their fate. While the formers are blessed with happiness, the latter achieve something far greater–fulfilment.”
Abhaidev, The Influencer: Speed Must Have a Limit

Mouloud Benzadi
“Angelina told Ahmed that there came a time when her grandmother began to call on God to end her life, as she could no longer cope with her pain. She strongly believed that God listens to people’s words and hearts. Her prayers, however, remained unanswered. Instead of death, she only received more pain and depression.”
Mouloud Benzadi, أنجلينا فتاة من النمسا

Mouloud Benzadi
“It broke her heart that the boy she loved was taken so tragically and so unexpectedly. She never got to say goodbye. She wished she could sit with him, talk to him, and hear his voice one last time. She would sacrifice anything to hug him and kiss him once more. The moment she lost Robert in that fateful accident, it was as if she had lost her reason for living, and she felt her life begin to race tragically towards its inevitable end.”
Mouloud Benzadi, أنجلينا فتاة من النمسا

Mouloud Benzadi
“In your life, things can either fall in place or fall apart, and it all depends on you being positive and constructive or negative and destructive.”
Mouloud Benzadi

“The next day, I’d be going home. Little did I know that, as I slept, the universe was already conspiring, like a table full of gossiping women, to help nudge me in the right direction to- ward my fate... or to my death.”
Kayla Cunningham, Fated to Love You

“My ex-boyfriend was dramatic, adventurous, and selfish. At one time I thought I’d do anything to make him happy. I thought I might even love him, but I’d never told him that. He had me under his spell. That was before I found him sleeping with someone else. The three-year enchantment was broken after that. The magic lifted. Finding my boyfriend and a high school friend in bed together was horrific. Made me feel like I wasn’t good enough for him, and it took me a while to realize that wasn’t true. The aftermath of our breakup left me feeling utterly defeated, and my self-confidence plummeted to unimaginable depths—perhaps as low as the wreckage of a sunken ship or the depths of the Mariana Trench, which is known to be the deepest point in the ocean. It was that bad.”

“I couldn’t help but scream. Xuan reached for my hand and grabbed it tightly.
“Cassie, look at me. It’ll be okay. I promise you, we’ll make it through this. Together.”
I nodded. “Together,” I repeated with a shaky voice.
I remember the water. I remember screaming as the vehicle ricocheted forward, then down again, and the guardrail gave way, sending the vehicle toward the edge. Then the metal gave out and we were falling.”
Kayla Cunningham

Charles Soule
“The Force is a trap. It calls us with dreams of power or skill or just being able to change things. It’s the same, light or dark.
But it chews us up, uses us for its purposes, whatever bizarre cosmic goals it’s trying to achieve and tells us it’s destiny.
We aren’t people to it. We’re just tools. Tools named Jedi and Sith.”
Charles Soule, Star Wars, Vol. 1: The Destiny Path

James Luceno
“For a brief moment he glimpsed a new destiny opening before his eyes, a window into a future he had never imagined for himself, a path to an entirely different life, and yet just as quickly as the window opened it closed, slammed shut as much by long years of training as by a feeling of trepidation.”
James Luceno, Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel

Abbi Adams
“But no man has ever truly escaped his destiny. Jonah always goes to Nineveh.”
Abbigayle Grace, Winter in Deglendark Valley

“The destiny is ready but the path and the means to get there is yet to be negotiated, strategized and executed upon.”
Jeff Ocaya

Mwanandeke Kindembo
