Well, this wouldn't be a quiz fit for a detective without a few riddles now would it? Can You solve it? Watson sat in his armchair, puzzling over a rather peculiar murder case, involving two sisters. Miss Clara Simpson and Miss Violet Simpson had both been enjoying a nice cold glass of lemonade, being a hot day it was much welcome. However, a tragedy occurred. Miss Violet Simpson died shortly after drinking her lemonade- it was later confirmed it was poison. Miss Clara Simpson had also drunk the same drink, which was also poisoned- yet she didn't die! Both drank the same lemonade and both contained ice. Holme's questioned Miss Clara and asked the following question- Did You drink more quickly than your sister? Why, yes, she replied, I simply gulped mine down, Clara only had small sips occasionally. Holmes immediately could solve the puzzle, Watson couldn't! Can You?
The Poison was in the ice-Since Violet drank quickly the ice didn't have time to melt, thus she didn't digest the poison, Clara drank slow so the ice melted
Miss Clara tried to poisoned her sister but drank the glass intended to give her sister.
There wasn't any poison in the glass. It was added by Miss Clara's accomplice before sent off to be tested- Miss Violet died another way
The poison was in the sugar in the lemonade. Only Miss Clara's lemonade had sugar in.
