I love me some Fool's Gold romance! Charlie and Felicia are my favorite characters. So naturally Clay and Charlie and Felicia and Gideon are my favorite couples. Do you have a favorite couple from Fools Gold? Is there a certain couple or specific character that was the most fun for you to write about? Thank you for bringing us the heartwarming, sexy series that is Fool's Gold!

Thank you, Stephanie! You know, I was really, really nervous about whether readers would like Felicia when TWO OF A KIND was released. She is so quirky. She was very hard to write, simply because she is so much smarter than I am. I was constantly running to the internet to find some obscure fact. She was also extremely fun to write, and even now, every time she pops up in a scene, she makes me smile. In addition to being brilliant, she has an amazing heart.
With Charlie in ALL SUMMER LONG, I wasn't nervous. I knew readers would relate to her. She's not your typical heroine - she's almost masculine with her height and her strength, and even her job as a firefighter. She never imagined in her wildest dreams that she would fall in love with a former underwear model. But really, she and Clay have a lot in common. All their lives, they were judged on looks alone, so they know even more than most that looks say nothing about a person's character.
I have several favorite couples, and you've named two of them. I love all my couples, of course, but there are a few who stand out. I love Pia and Raoul of FINDING PERFECT. Pia is the most loyal friend EVER, giving birth to her best friend's babies... and raising them as her own. I love Montana and Simon of ONLY YOURS so much. Simon had such a terrible childhood, but he came out of that without allowing bitterness to take hold of him. He has never known as much happiness as he has found with Montana. Oh, and Ford and Isabel of THREE LITTLE WORDS. And Taryn and Angel of WHEN WE MET... and.... and... and...
I should probably just have left it at "I love them all." LOL

Susan Mallery:
I tried reading more than 1 book at a time & just became disorganized & sometimes emotionally it is hard disconnect with characters Now I try to do 1 series at a time & in sequence ( logistically sometimes can't. I get the impression authors have more than one book on the go. & different series ... How do you manage to do it & stay connected with diffferent plots, characters, feelings, etc.?
