How do you get inspired to write?

Simon Clode I wake up full of ideas most days and write as many of them down before I start work or run out of inspiration. About 2% of these become something fruitful. A much larger percentage are concerns I have about the boy in my local supermarket doing himself out of a job by pricing vegetables up in advance rather than weighing them on demand and why Liverpool sold Xabi Alonso.
