Have you considered writing urban paranormal romance or just romance for the 45+ crowd. I have come across only once book which used mature main characters. In our youth oriented society it is natural to put forth work where you can talk about toned abs instead of sore back. However I do believe there is a market for people like me who yearn to read about fit, strong and sexy older character

Dannika Dark That's a good question. I think I write the age that's appropriate for the story, but my male characters seem to be older than many urban fantasy books, which are young twenties. Because so many I write about are immortal or semi-immortal, age becomes only a number. There are many who are smitten over Maddox, who is an older man with a tender heart. I never exclude any age when writing, so perhaps readers will see more variety as time goes on. :-)
Lyn Taylor Kristen Ashley has some fantastic older characters, I'm talking 40+. They're still hot and sexy but have much more of an 'i've lived life' feel to them.
