Jeremy Toeman asked:

Can anyone who has read it share their opinion on age appropriateness - not by reading/comprehension, but by content? Would it be okay for younger kids to read, or is it very dark/torturous/etc?

Art Lyon Content-wise, there's nothing adult or gruesome. Very little violence or action.
Timo Overbeek I would say that is should be okay for kids to read. There is no explicit language, sex or torture in the book. It does have a very oppressive feeling to it, but that is to be expected given the time period. I would say that the age appropriateness is roughly equal to that of Tarkin and Aftermath and it is definitely way more appropriate then Rogue One itself, so if you kid is okay with those then he / she should be fine.
