Ian asked:

What books would you recommend for big fan of this book and its sequel? I especially loved the interactions between Anna and Cas. My favorite scene by far is the one from Chapter 12 where they chat after Cas can't sleep.

Liz Here are some recs from Novelist:

1. School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins
Reason: When you're raised in a family of monster hunters, you learn quickly that you can't have "normal friends." But the teens in these supernatural thrillers learn that when in danger, sometimes it's nice to have friends to back you up.

2. You may now kill the bride by RL Stine
Reason: Girls from different time periods are touched by curses with gruesome, bloody consequences in these scary supernatural horror stories. Both books are plot-driven, suspenseful, and chilling from beginning to end.

3. The monstrumologist by Rick Yancey
Reason: With the death of their fathers, the teen boys in these supernatural thrillers discover their destinies as hunters of deadly paranormal creatures. Both titles are heavy on gore and violent imagery.

4. Hold me closer, necromancer by Lish McBride
Reason: The young men in these urban fantasies remain snarky and open to romance despite all the dangerous horrors they face in the creepy worlds they've been drawn into by a family legacy.

5. The girl from the well by Rin Chupeco
Reason: These chilling, disturbing tales are told from opposing perspectives: Anna (an urban fantasy) is about a ghost killer who targets vengeful spirits, while Girl (inspired by Japanese horror) is narrated by a bloodthirsty ghost who avenges murdered children.
