This books definitely resolves the current story arc, but there are currently three more books set in the same world (hundreds of years in the future), with another 7+ books planned. The Era 2 books, starting with the Alloy of Law, has a whole new cast of characters and plot, but there are some tie ins to the original series. In addition, all of Brandon Sanderson's "cosmere" books take place in the same universe, and have easter eggs that reward loyal and careful readers.
