How did you get the idea for the Bridge series? Do you know going in how the stories end or do these characters get away from you and "write" the stories themselves?

Meredith Wild I remember being struck one night by this scene between Maya and Stella at the bar at the beginning of the book, and I just started writing it without knowing exactly where the story would go. Because I'd already published two books in the Hacker Series at that point and I still had more to write, I thought OMK would only be a novella--a little side project. It ended up being my longest book to date and such an emotional journey. At some point in the process of writing it, I began to come up with story ideas for the other two Bridge siblings, Darren and Olivia, and I knew it would become a series.

Without a doubt, a little flash of an idea can quickly snowball once my characters really start to show themselves. It's a fascinating process that never fails to amaze me and take me by surprise.
