Goodreads asked Connie C. Scharon:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Connie C. Scharon When I started out writing, I created my first manuscript in longhand in a spiral notebook. I thought is was the greatest thing ever, but it really wasn't. Later I began going to writing conferences and classes, finding out how to write a book. My work has improved over the years because I continue to seek out people who know more about writing than I do and learning from their successes and failures. Recently I spoke at a conference for the first time--what a thrill! I had gone from student to teacher. My best advice for aspiring writers is to learn all you can about your craft.
