What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Roger Gloss Writing is a little like playing god. You create characters, make them act any way you want, and orchestrate events in your plot according to your whim. Having such power is quite exhilarating, but even better – for me – is the opportunity to voice my ideas through underlying themes. My ultimate hope in doing this is to influence readers, to make them care. This is also writing's greatest risk and challenge.
