Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Andrei Silvian Popescu The idea came to me during a conversation with my parents about my roots. My ancestors' heritage was lost due to family feuds, wars, poverty, and illness. That made me think about ancient times and how the same fate befell the Dacians, whose culture was destroyed by usurpers. I took it a step further and imagined my own version of Dacia, blending it with elements from Romanian folklore -- balauri, zmei, strigoi. It was initially supposed to be a video game, but I just couldn't stop writing, and it became a book.
