Goodreads asked Stephanie Woods:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Stephanie Woods If you love writing, just write. It doesn't even matter if you think it's any good. Just write what you love. Write the stories that interest you. If they interest you, chances are they will interest a lot of other people, too. Those people, the ones who like what you like, are your audience. So, write for yourself, and you will find your audience.

Also, get it all down on paper before editing. Write the whole thing. If you edit as you go, you'll never finish it. Write it all, even if you think it's horrible, and know you can always edit it as many times as you like until it's perfectly polished. The important thing is to write the whole story first. It's a terrific feeling, finishing that book, even if you know it still needs work. You finished it! Congratulations! You're an author.
