Goodreads asked Lou Mindar:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lou Mindar I’m not sure if I completely buy into the idea of “writer’s block,” but I’ve certainly gotten stuck in my writing, where I wasn’t sure where to go next. When that happens, I plow through. I just keep writing, even if what I’m writing is pure rubbish (it usually is). There are a couple of tricks I use in such situations. Often, I’ll take a break to listen to music or go for a walk. Taking a shower has also worked in the past. If none of that works and plowing ahead isn’t producing what the story needs, I’ve been known to put the story away for a while. Coming back to the manuscript after a few weeks or months with fresh eyes and a different perspective can be just what the situation calls for.
