T.L. Coulter
T.L. Coulter asked Tracy Lawson:

Tracy, where did you come up with the idea for Counteract?

Tracy Lawson Counteract began as a writing prompt. I was mentoring a friend of my daughter's and editing his short stories. We had just finished a project and were looking for something new to work on. He suggested the following prompt: "What if everyone were on LSD and all thoughts were communal?" That was an unexpected and interesting idea for a writing exercise, and we both dug in. A few hours later, we shared our scenes and were intrigued by what we'd done. That nucleus had to morph and change a lot before it became Counteract, but Chase's first scene ended up in Chapter 3, and mine ended up in Chapter 7.
