Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Dennis Ricci The idea "germ" for Perilous Judgment came from an article in the Los Angeles Daily News about the LA County Supervisors' vote to boycott doing business with the State of Arizona due to the law they'd passed that allowed local law enforcement officers to check suspected illegal immigrants for documentation. The story included the US Justice Department's suit to block the law and the federal judge who would preside. The details in the story sparked this thought: "what if the judge was smuggling people into the US?"
