Juma I actually liked the movie better than the book, I also read the book after watching the movie. I really enjoyed the pictures and the melancholy. Maybe this was because I was depressed myself at the time, but the movie expressed something I felt myself, which the book did not. (Maybe it was not only Naoko's depression but her character. I suspected her to be aromantic, which was not possible based on the book.)(less)
