Goodreads asked Therese Henriksson:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Therese Henriksson The idea for Korpmåne (Raven Moon) came flying one morning in the shape of a raven. The kids and i were having breakfast, as a dark shadow passed the window. As we looked out we saw this large raven sitting outside, looking in. I went out to have a look and the bird gazed at me with an almost human glance in his eye. He didn´t move and i could get really close. Closer than you are supposed to with a wild bird. He kept looking, sort of in to my soul. Then i knew there was a story to be told.
This was the beginning, and the raven, we called it Korp stayed in the neighbourhood close to our farm. Providing inspiration just by flying over my head, or "talking to me" from the treetops.
Actually he still comes by from time to time, together with his lovely wife.
