My fairytales are pretty intense, standalone reads. I would suggest trying "Archer's Voice" (Mia Sheridan), "Kyland" (Mia Sheridan), "Making Faces" (Amy Harmon), "Maybe Someday" (Colleen Hoover), and maybe "Come To Me Quietly" (A.L. Jackson). Give those a try and let me know what you think...when I read those books, I'm challenged to do my best possible writing, so these are authors who certainly keep me on my toes!! HAPPY READING!!
