By learn the craft, I mean learn how to write. Yes, this is all the boring stuff: spelling, grammar, sentence construction ... all the way through to higher level aspects such as plot construction. And NEVER STOP LEARNING. You can never know all there is to know and you will always improve.
By write, I mean write. Yes, just write. Write, write, write. NEVER STOP WRITING. One day you'll look at what you've written and say, "Hey, that's not bad." Then, KEEP WRITING.
