Watching other talented artists work (in any medium) makes me want to work on my own stories.
I devour huge amounts of books, movies, shows, games and graphic novels and comics. I have always been fascinated with the art and science of story-telling, whether it's the way a movie director/cinematographer chooses to shoot or light a scene to showcase a character, or the way a novelist crafts a single sentence to increase or ease tension.
I'd love nothing more than to make a movie or a graphic novel, but since I don't have the resources for film (and I can't draw), novels are the perfect outlet for me.
