Caitlin asked:

I know people are probably sick of this question, but do you need to read Cinder and Scarlet to understand this book or can it be read as a stand-alone? Thanks!

Erin you HAVE to read these books in order otherwise you won't understand them at all.
Ann Fernandez You most definitely need to read Cinder and Scarlet in order to completely understand what's going on, especially in the world, which is pretty complex and kind of confusing. These aren't separate companion novels, where you get to read what you like. They all contain major spoilers on the other books.
