Maria Nunes
Maria Nunes asked Kelley Armstrong:

Hi Kelley, having read your book Omens, I was amazed at the superstitions mentioned, as those were the ones my mother would tell me as a child. It reminded me of the funny moments I had with my mom and how I would question her about them, until she had no more answers to give. Now I do the same with my children and I do get told I am being silly. My question is do you follow the same superstitions??

Kelley Armstrong I do follow some. I think they add a little fun to the everyday and they amuse my kids, the same way my mother's would have amused me as a child. Mostly, I'm fascinated by the backgrounds behind them--why do we knock on wood, avoid walking under ladders, associate black cats with bad luck etc.
