joel asked:

Charlie is a Death Merchant, he collects/finds/steals etc. objects that have a red glow that can only be seen by said Death Merchants. He then puts them in his shop to be purchased by the right person. Ok so I really don't get how that works. Does the person who finds the right object have no soul? How does the soul move on to it's rightful place?

Sarah Stevens Because fate plays a role here. The big book of death tells the "death merchants" that if they do their part, the rest will fall into place.
The person who is meant to have the object, and the soul within, will be drawn to it.
As an extra precaution, It's on a separate shelf, one per person, supervised by the death merchant in order to make sure it goes to the person it should
