Loading... No, not really. It has much less romance, and it is in a midieval setting, not a futuristic one. Another difference would be the main character, who is a villain, not a hero. I can think of only two major similarities: The revolution theme, and the "gifts" added into the story. The "gifts" are also quite different, since they obtain them after a mysterious disease. In my opinion, this is a million times better than Shatter Me. (No offense, Shatter Me fans.)
