Tifani is a fourteen year old girl who gets raped and says nothing, does nothing. If she had reported the rape, the rampage/murders would never have happened. So the author HAS to have her do nothing to the three guys who raped her for there to be a book. Sick and twisted. Yes, it would have made sense for her to at least report the rape, end of story.
