Grace asked:

So the Westwall girls marry the Lattimer boys? Then that would make Erin Ivy's aunt, right? Erin and President Lattimer had Bishop, so Ivy is married to her cousin?

Ene Maria No, because this is the first time that a mariage between a Westfall and a Lattimer happens :)
Mary Kidd No I don't think so since Bishop's mother is Erin Bishop. Erin was a schoolmate of Ivy's father. I think this was a new thing.
Julia Wharton When Samuel Westfall founded the town, he didn't just bring his family but other families with him. When Lattimer came and took power, he had brought other families with him too besides his own. So, when the weddings happen each year, it's between the descendants of those other families who came with the two groups. As for the Lattimer's and Westfall's themselves, Ivy and Bishop are the first marriage between them.
