A teacher once told me that Twilight is a lot like pony books. He actually didn't like Twilight so I was surprised that he actually said this. He said that when you are younger girls are attracted to pony books because they are wild and heroic and untamed and he said that that was a lot like Twilight. I found it really interesting.
