Not quite. Percy Jackson is geared towards a younger audience. The Wheel of Time series' cast of characters grows with every single book, and their storylines crisscross all over the place. That doesn't mean it's bad, far from it. But I would describe this series as Lord of the Rings with as many characters as A Song of Ice and Fire.
