Nephyr asked:

I do not enjoy books that fail to end simply because they are in a series (ala Wrath & Dawn). So, is this a good read unto itself (ala each Narnia book, or Harry Potter book - they are clearly in a series, but each book wraps itself up nicely even if you are aware of a grander arc that requires the whole series), or does it end without a finish leaving you utterly unsatisfied until you read the next book?

Jacey It does, as you say, wrap itself up nicely. The first book ties up many of its loose ends, but it does leave room to continue the series. It is very satisfying to read each book, as you were wondering.
