it would probably be a good idea to read it, the heroes of olympus, and the kane chronicles, just in case. rick has been hinting in all of his books so far that the worlds are connected. there's the greek gods and roman gods fusing in the same books, and there's carter and sadie seeing and hearing about other gods and heroes in the kane chronicles (his egyptian gods series. carter, the main male lead, sees a sillhouette of percy riding his pegasus in the clouds in new york and i think horus or anubis say something about needing their help in the future.), and there was even a few short stories where percy and carter fight together and sadie and annabeth (from the percy jackson series) fight together, so eventually there's going to be a sort of rick riordan series avengers sort of thing. and, you know, there's also the fact that magnus chase is probably the cousin from boston that annabeth chase has mentioned in the percy jackson series.
